Excel Homework on A Strategic Approach to Efficiency

I wrote this homework over the last couple of days.  I've proofread it a couple of times.  But there may still be typos or even conceptual errors in it.  If you find what seems like a mistake, please let me know.  It would be good to have a clean version of this assignment.

As with other Excel homework, if you have a question or comment about it, please post that as a comment to this post.  I'm guaranteeing 24 hour turn around time in response, and probably a lot quicker than that.  And if you are reading the comments and think you know how to respond, by all means do.  The more the merrier and this will create a better sense of class participation.

  1. Is there anyone that could give me a clue in solving the last problem from the homework. Thank you.

  2. Thanks for reposting this to the right spot. One clue is to enter your answer as a fraction with an equals sign in front to signify a formula. Don't enter a decimal. This was the lesson from the tutorial homework.

If that is not sufficient for, you might indicate what you've tried. There is a line or two of algebra that you need to do to get the result.

  3. I had a question concerning the last question of the transfer pricing worksheet. The question asks what the quantity supplied would be given a market price. Im using the marginal cost and the marginal benefit equations to figure out the quantity supplied at that price but i keep on getting incorrect answers. Is there something I'm missing?
    Thank you

    1. In the future please post your queries to the blog post for that specific homework. That way other students might benefit form the question and the response.

I suspect here that you are typing in what you perceive to be the transfer price, instead of using the cell reference. Try using the cell reference instead.

  4. I would have perfectly done your homework for you but I hope you got the answer, thanks for sharing and please accept this late comment!
